As a fun way to promote chapter health and safety, the Kappa Tau chapter hosted a “Mocktails” event for Risk Management on September 20, 2018. Dressed to the nines, members came together and drank non-alcoholic cocktail blends as a memorable way to learn about and discuss alcohol safety. The chapter risk management chair outlined a number of important facts, data, and statistics regarding the potential risks of alcohol consumption, including how the body breaks down alcohol and how many drinks are acceptable in certain time frames. While this was a light and cheery event for members to attend, the importance of the information being covered was stressed to members and how important their health and safety was to the chapter. All in all, the Kappa Tau chapter came out being more educated on alcohol safety through a unique and interesting experience that will leave lasting impressions on members.
