Delta Sigma was founded on September 16, 1956 at Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. We've been around 61 years and going strong!

Our chapter is a part of Delta Zeta Region 9. We currently have a total of 112 members in our chapter and our average GPA is 3.39! For the academic year Fall 2016 through Spring 2017 our chapter has donated 3051 service hours and $4367.00!

Chapter News

Delta Sigma Chapter (Truman State University) members are enriching their knowledge this summer

Many students in the Delta Sigma Chapter at Truman State University studied abroad, received scholastic, artistic and leadership awards, and embarked in countless hours of philanthropic and professional work, and continue to enrich their knowledge this summer.

Members Lindsey Allen, Breana James, Azeeza Eagal, Tessa Kraemer, Jessica Mugler, Harper Euwer, Mackenzie Maberry and Mary-Kate Mudd are all among active members in a scholastic honors society. Members Katie King and Olivia Delaloye helped organize events for Sexual Assault Awareness month at Truman State this past April, joining in the effort to give a voice to victims.

Member Rachel Owings is spending a large part of her summer studying abroad in Quebec, enriching her knowledge of the French language and Canadian culture.

Delta Sigma Chapter looking forward to a successful school year after receiving top recognition at Truman State University

Delta Sigma Chapter ended the 2015-2016 school year by winning the Truman State University Greek Week philanthropy/fundraising event by raising the most money for the Starkey Hearing Foundation. Senior Alyssa Bell was crowned Greek Week queen.

Delta Sigma also won the Commitment Pillar during Greek Week, for which the chapter was recognized as the most committed Greek organization on campus.

The chapter's largest philanthropic event on campus raised $3,250, which was also donated to the Starkey Hearing Foundation.

Delta Sigma Chapter is proud of its accomplishments and looking forward to a successful 2016-2017 school year with the Truman State Greek community and surrounding Kirksville community.

Ashley Bredow,  Philanthropy Chairman of the Delta Sigma Chapter at Truman State University, directed a successful Hike for Hearing event for the chapter in  Thousand Hills State Park.
