Gamma Omega was founded on May 30, 1953 at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. We've been around 66 years and going strong!

Our chapter is a part of Delta Zeta Region 7. We currently have a total of 42 members in our chapter and our average GPA is 3.31! For the academic year Fall 2016 through Spring 2017 our chapter has donated 265 service hours and $4183.00!

Gamma Omega Chapter holds highest GPA out of all sororities at Southern Illinois University

The Gamma Omega Chapter had the highest GPA for the Fall 2016 semester out of all three sororities on campus.

The chapter also raised more than $1,500 for philanthropy with its Color Run. Delta Chi Fraternity joined the chapter for the event, so Gamma Omega split the proceeds with the fraternity, with half going to Delta Chi's Foundation, and half going to the Starkey Hearing Foundation and The Painted Turtle camp.

The Gamma Omega Chapter raised $2,550 at its annual Mr. Turtle Man talent competition in March for the Starkey Hearing Foundation and The Painted Turtle camp.
