The Gamma Phi Chapter recently received the Indiana University of Pennsylvania's award for Excellence in Campus Programming. As of the end of the spring semester, the chapter had 11 members on the Dean's list.
The chapter took first place this year in the Greek Sing competition which is held every year at the beginning of Greek Week. Gamma Phi partnered with Kappa Sigma Fraternity, doing a dance routine to the music of "High School Musical." "In addition to taking first place, the Make-A-Wish Foundation asked us to perform our routine at the annual IUP Relay for Life," said Gianna Vattilano, LAMP Editor.
The chapter also held its annual Dodgeball Tournament in April, 2016. "We had a wonderful turnout of over 10 organizations who came out to support us. All proceeds from this event went to The Painted Turtle camp," said Gianna.
The Gamma Phi Chapter (Indiana University of Pennsylvania) hosted its first Hike For Hearing. "We had a 5k on the Hoodlebug trail on our beautiful campus," said Gianna Vattilano, LAMP Editor. "Seven different organizations on campus came out to support us. This Hike really inspired all the sisters. We watched the Starkey Hearing video before the Hike and it moved all of us. We gathered as many people as we could, starting the Hike on a gorgeous morning in October. We are so blessed to be able to participate in such a great event for such a beautiful cause!"
