Gamma Psi was founded on May 2, 1953 at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, MI. We've been around 65 years and going strong!

Beth Ann Keller Stroup, Central Michigan - Gamma Psi, promoted to Assistant Vice President at Resolute Management

Beth Ann Keller Stroup, Central Michigan - Gamma Psi, was promoted to the position of Assistant Vice President at Resolute Management in Chicago, Illinois.

Resolute Management, Inc. (RMI) is one of the companies within the Berkshire Hathaway Group of Insurance Companies, providing claims handling services primarily relating to historical asbestos, environmental contamination and other latent damage claims, on behalf of certain insurance companies within the Berkshire group and a variety of unaffiliated companies who have entered into transactions for such services. 

Gamma Psi Chapter voted "Best Sorority" on Central Michigan University campus

The Gamma Psi Chapter at Central Michigan University was voted "Best CMU Sorority" in Central Michigan Life's latest article.  In the 2016 Spring semester, the chapter also had the honor of receiving the "Most Improved Chapter" award.

Gamma Psi Chapter member Sarah Cramer continuously amazes her chapter with her commitment to lifelong learning.

After completing her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education next fall, she plans to attend graduate school, majoring in Higher Education and Administration. Sarah volunteers at Central Michigan University's Career Outreach program and at the Children's Learning Center. Not only does she show personal commitment to lifelong learning, as Gamma Psi's Academic Chairman, she encourages the chapter to commit to the members' education.

During her time as Academic Chairman, the chapter's GPA has steadily risen. "She inspires us to reach our fullest potential and continue our education outside of the classroom. As a chapter, our respect for her commitment to learning is truly immense," said Allie Veersma, LAMP Editor.
Gamma Psi Chapter (Central Michigan University) raises $3,000 for Starkey Heariing Foundation during Turtle Week

The Gamma Psi Chapter at Central Michigan University recently held its annual Turtle Week, raising just over $3,000 for the Starkey Hearing Foundation. The chapter held several events, including Hoops For Hearing, to raise the money for speech and hearing.

"It was phenomenal to see the dedication and the enthusiasm of the entire chapter," said Allie Veersma, LAMP Editor, "and we were thrilled to raise money for a foundation that touches all of us in some way. Our hope is that this event continues to grow and become more successful."

The Gamma Psi Chapter (Central Michigan University) won the grand prize of $1,000 towards Delta Zeta's philanthropy at Sigma Chi’s Derby Days event.

Derby Days is held each year by the Sigma Chi Fraternity of CMU  to raise money for the Huntsman Cancer Institute, Eleven sororities competed to win the competition.

"Delta Zeta helped raise $7,100 for the Huntsman Cancer Institute, while winning money for our philanthropy," said member Allie Veersma. "Thanks to a lot of open hearts and commitment, Gamma Psi Chapter at Central Michigan University raised the most money and earned best attendance overall – Greeks supporting Greeks, for a great cause!"
