Roselynn Betras, President of Kappa Chi (Youngstown State Univ.), fulfills truly amazing dreams through Delta Zeta

Roselynn Betras, President of the Kappa Chi Chapter at Youngstown State University, plans to attend law school and practice law in New York City or Washington, DC. Delta Zeta helps her to achieve those dreams and more.

"Delta Zeta has taught me how to truly be selfless and to always work hard to achieve my dreams," she said. "This Sorority has taught me so much and I'm so thankful for it every day!

"Delta Zeta has not only given me the opportunity to volunteer at The Painted Turtle camp for the past two years," Roselynn continued, "but it has also given me the confidence to become a student leader on campus.

"I've been philanthropically involved since a young age and, through Delta Zeta, I've fallen in love with our philanthropy of speech and hearing. My dream would to be to go on a Starkey Hearing Foundation mission and help fit those in need of a hearing aid. My chapter works very closely with our local hearing clinic, Youngstown Hearing and Speech."

Kappa Chi Chapter hosts successful Hamburgers For Hearing and cleans up Youngstown State community

The Kappa Chi Chapter held its first "Hamburgers for Hearing" event, serving more than 150 hamburgers and raising over $1,000 dollars for the Starkey Hearing Foundation.

Recently, many chapter members took a Saturday morning to help clean up local parks and neighborhoods around Youngstown State University. The tasks ranged from landscaping new park areas, weeding, planting new shrubbery and cleaning up yards in the neighborhood. "The members who participated had a great time volunteering with the Greek community," said Roselynn Betras, President.
