Kappa Psi was founded on September 30, 1972 at Shippensburg University in Mechanicsburg, PA. We've been around 45 years and going strong!

Our chapter is a part of Delta Zeta Region 3. We currently have a total of 42 members in our chapter and our average GPA is 3.12! For the academic year Fall 2016 through Spring 2017 our chapter has donated 322 service hours and $1391.85!

Kappa Psi Chapter (Shippensburg University) reaches out to help after Hurricane Harvey

Hurricane Harvey was the first Category 4 hurricanes to make landfall in the United States since Hurricane Charley in 2005, and one of the most destructive. The damage and destruction it caused were severe, resulting in 83 confirmed deaths.

The sisters of the Kappa Psi Chapter at Shippensburg University wanted to help the victims affected by this disastrous hurricane. "Our Philanthropy Chairman, Sammi Ennico, set up an event to raise money for them," said member Christy Digiandomenico. "We received many donations to help the cause. In total, we raised $365. The amount we raised will be donated to the Salvation Army in Houston, Texas. It will provide the victims of the hurricane with clothes, food and water."

Kappa Psi's Got Talent ... raising donations for Starkey Hearing Foundation

On December 1, 2016, the Kappa Psi Chapter hosted a talent show open to all Shippensburg University students to raise money for the Starkey Hearing Foundation. The first and second place winners received prizes consisting of gift cards to restaurants in town. The talent show raised nearly $500 for Starkey.

Kappa Psi Chapter teams with Phi Sigma Fraternity to help Starkey Hearing Foundation and Special Olympics at Shippensburg University

The Kappa Psi Chapter at Shippensburg University teamed up with the men of Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity to can for the Starkey Hearing Foundation and Phi Sigma Kappa's philanthropy, the Special Olympics. Together they raised $635 dollars in a total of three hours for both causes.

Kappa Psi Chapter (Shippensburg University) supports local elementary school with Paint a Turtle

The Kappa Psi Chapter raised more than $200 during its Paint a Turtle fundraiser for the Nancy Grayson Elementary School! Participants paid $1 or donated a school supply. Kappa Psi members were happy to help support the school and its students.

The Kappa Psi Chapter at Shippensburg University volunteered at a nearby pet adoption shelter to help set up an Easter Egg Hunt for the dogs of the shelter and from the community, helping the shelter to raise over $1,000 during the event.
