Sister, Madison Oswalt of Harrison, was crowned the 63rd Miss Tech Friday on February 16th during the Miss Arkansas Tech University Scholarship Pageant. She is the daughter of Laurie and Ryan Oswalt, and was awarded the Kristen Hayes Dance Award, the Nona Dirksmeyer Memorial Award, and the interview competition all while striving for the crown. She performed a jazz dance to "Gimme, Gimme." She was sponsored in the 2018 Miss Tech Pageant by the Lambda Alpha chapter.
Her critical issue is "That's Not Love." Recently, Madison lead a program for our chapter and taught us all about relationship abuse. Here’s some things she had to say about her platform: “Relationship abuse is a public heath epidemic that does not discriminate and will attack any individuals self worth. As an advocate for #ThatsNotLove, I educate parents, educators, and students on the warning signs that could be the difference between life and death.”
Madison will represent ATU in the 2018 Miss Arkansas Pageant June 9th-17th in Little Rock. She previously represented in the Miss Arkansas Pageant as Miss Ozark Mountain in 2017.
Delta Zeta sends our love and support to Madison's for her upcoming journey as Miss Tech University. We are all so proud and look forward to watching her walk truly in the 2018 Miss Arkansas Pageant.
