Lambda Rho was founded on March 4, 1973 at Illinois State University in Normal, IL. We've been around 44 years and going strong!

Our chapter is a part of Delta Zeta Region 16. We currently have a total of 147 members in our chapter and our average GPA is 3.33! For the academic year Fall 2016 through Spring 2017 our chapter has donated 1380 service hours and $4020.00!

Lambda Rho Chapter (Illinois State University) participates to help Illinois Make-A-Wish Foundation

The Lambda Rho Chapter at Illinois State University was proud to participate in Chi Omega Rho Kappa's philanthropy event, March Madness, during the Spring semester. March Madness is an annual performance that took place on March 25, 2017.


The show is presented by the Greek community on campus and involves fun, choreographed dances and glitzy costumes. The proceeds and donations prior to the event all go to the Illinois Make-A-Wish Foundation. "Our chapter's theme for our dance was Britney Spears, and here are some photos of our sisters before the performance!" said Kathryn Sall, LAMP Editor.

Lambda Rho Chapter's (Illinois State University) Hike for Hearing raises $2,600 for Starkey Hearing Foundation

On April 9th, 2017, the Lambda Rho Chapter hosted its annual 5k Hike for Hearing on the Illinois State University campus.

The participants enjoyed splashes of color, a live DJ and food before and after the race.


Aside from the registration fees, raffle tickets and snacks were sold as well to raise money for the Starkey Hearing Foundation. In total, Lambda Rho raised more than $2,600 for Starkey.

 

 

Susie Zalewski, Lambda Rho Ritual Chairman, is Executive Vice President of Illinois State University’s Panhellenic board

Susie Zalewski, Ritual Chairman for the Lambda Rho Chapter at Illinois State University, has been elected as Executive Vice President of the university's Panhellenic board. Susie was also the Lambda Rho Chapter President for the 2015-2016 academic year. She is a member of the National Sorority Leadership Recognition Society.

"Susie has positively impacted our chapter," said member Maddie Castelvecchi. "As a leader and a sister of strength, she influences her sorority sisters to go out into their community and be the best version of themselves by volunteering, promoting healthy relationships, and setting goals."
