The Lambda Theta Chapter participated in Michigan Tech University's annual Winter Carnival, a four-day event filled with snow statues, broomball, human dog sledding and other outdoor activities.
"We built an extravagant, month-long snow statue, which took second place out of the eight sororities on campus," said Alyssa Gagne, LAMP Editor and Historian.
The Lambda Theta Chapter's broomball team that competes against different teams a few times each week. Broomball is similar to hockey, but without skates, and brooms are used instead of hockey sticks.
"Two women in our chapter competed for Winter Carnival Queen" said Alyssa. "Collegiate members and alumnae attended the ceremony to show support. I can never express enough how proud I am to belong to such a hardworking, fun-loving sisterhood. Every one of my sisters works so hard to accomplish such great things and they amaze me every day."
