Forever Home

In September, the Omicron Omicron chapter added twenty-nine girls to their sorority. In just a few short months the new members have grown and learned how to truly love Delta Zeta. Many of the girls have said that this was the best decision they ever made and that they have found life-long friends already. They have also said that they realize that sisterhood is forever and never fails them. Our sisters will do anything for one another, whether it be a ride to work, help in a class that you are struggling in, or something as simple as a dinner date. Our sisters are always one phone call away. Our sisters can make such an impact and possibly change the world if they bring this kindness with them everywhere they go. So, this is the reason Delta Zeta is your forever home.

Omicron Omicron Chapter hosts Smooch-A-Pooch to raise money for speech and hearing

On February 13, 2017, the Omicron Omicron Chapter (Lindenwood University) coordinated an event they entitled, “Smooch-A-Pooch.” The results for this first-time event were outstanding. Emily Walshaw explained, “Lindenwood truly showed its support for our organization with a wide variety of attendance to our event. We had athletes, fraternity men, women from other sororities, and many faculty members stop by for a little smooch from the pooches. It was incredible to see.”

Members volunteered their time and their pups for the puppy kissing booth, and it was just in time for anyone to receive a kiss for Valentine’s Day. They raised $327 for Starkey Hearing Foundation. Being on a small campus, it truly meant a great deal to the members of the Omicron Omicron Chapter to see the support this event received.

Monica Eckelkamp, Vice President of Philanthropy, said, “I was very pleased with the outcome of Smooch-A-Pooch. As it was a short event and the first time we had done it, raising over $300 for the Starkey Hearing Foundation was fantastic. I look forward to seeing this event as an annual Valentine’s Day fundraiser to spread our love for our cause of speech and hearing!”
