Anissa Chenevert, President of the Theta Kappa Chapter at the University of New Orleans, believes that her passion for service and helping the community would not be possible without Delta Zeta.
"Joining Delta Zeta has shown me what philanthropic service really means to the community," said Anissa. "I have recently accepted an internship as the Recruiting Coordinator Intern for Northwestern Mutual. This past month, we have served the community by supporting the amazing charity Alex's Lemonade Stand. Taking place in the heart of the New Orleans French Quarter, this was a donation-based event that supported research for childhood cancer. This one occasion proved to me how much I love philanthropic work -- not just for my own sorority or employment, but for the community. We were able to raise a little over $500 in just a few hours for Alex's Lemonade Stand. I am so thankful to Delta Zeta for showing me what philanthropy can mean to any organization, because I have found a passion for philanthropy within my career field."
Anissa also serves the university as Clerk of Senate on the Student Government Association.
