Theta Zeta First Formal Recruitment

The Theta Zeta Chapter at the University of Akron kicked off the fall semester by putting a lot of hard work and energy into the chapters first, and very successful, formal recruitment. We welcomed 18 beautiful new members into our sisterhood on bid day; we are so excited for our chapter retreat October 21st to get to know them better!

October is a very exciting and eventful month for us with Greek Week on the October  8th, our first I Have A Choice Week, Big/Little reveal and our Chili Cook-Off fall philanthropy event. During Greek Week we are paired with the men of Phi Kappa Psi and Lambda Chi Alpha. We are so excited to host I Have A Choice week on campus and to educate and inspire students to make better life choices and smart decisions when it comes to alcohol. This semester's Big/Little reveal is our first following a formal recruitment, we are thrilled to have this exciting experience! Our Chili Cook-Off will be our first. Sisters will compete to have the best chili, voted on by event attendees.

November is one of the most exciting for our new members! They will have their new member convocation, take their national exam and, of course, get initiated. As a sisterhood, we will be making cards for the children at the Painted Turtle Camp. Our Being More program will be completed and our chapter officer elections will be soon after. This is all before finals week but we know our sisters will ace their exams!

In between all of our Delta Zeta events, we stay involved in the our Greek community by attending the philanthropy events for the other chapters on our campus, as well as host socials and PanHellenic events.
